During the ARMA Metro 2017 event in New York, discussion was heard around the challenges we face today as the growth of content eclipses the ability of records professionals to manage it alone. The keynote by Barbara Mistick covered the progress we’re making and how we need to keep challenging ourselves and our organizations. Many were able to get a copy of her book, Stretch signed. Paul Cortellesi hosted a session on sharing medical data in an effort to improve cancer treatment making attendees think about who owns medical information and its value to the relevant individual as well as to society as a whole. The conference covered a broad range of topics and was a wonderful example of the evolution of ARMA and its members to address today’s business challenges.
