The latest version of Fresh Docs (1.25.2) is now available in the iTunes App Store! Download the enhanced version now!
This release contains the following enhancements and updates:
- CMIS Improvements. Fresh Docs is now able to communicate with the latest versions of Alfresco and IBM FileNet Document Repositories. Theoretically, the app should be able to browse any CMIS Service that is compliant with the CMIS 1.0 OASIS Standard. The app has been fully tested on Alfresco and FileNet and has been tested on a limited scale on Nuxeo’s CMIS Service and SharePoint 2010 CMIS Connector.
- Availability on iPad!
- Open Documents in other apps (available in iOS 3.2 and above).
- Updated branding and chrome. Images updated and added to support iPhone 4’s Retina Display.
- Bug fixes
Last, settings for Fresh Docs has a minor change/update. Please visit the Fresh Docs information page to view the changes.
I am testing this out, but we have Alfresco behind a Proxy server that requires client certs. While I can browse alfresco via Safari (i.e. the Client Certs work just fine) it seems that Fresh Docs doesn’t as I get an error “The server ‘xx.xx.xx’ requires a client certificate”.
Is there any plan to get this added into a future release, I would prefer to not have to use a VPN .
Can it browse alfresco with url that has additional directories like:
https://my.alfrescoserver.com:8080/alfresco
first time, i think the ‘alfresco’ directories is already set on service document setting, but i got an error message:
Connection error:
The server returned an error connecting to https://my.alfrescoserver.com:8080 (null)
Could not connect to the server
FYI: on the server, https://my.alfrescoserver.com:8080 return a redirect to https://my.alfrescoserver.com:8080/alfresco
