Alfresco DevCon 2018 will bring together top developers and industry experts to discuss the latest in enterprise content management.
Zia Consulting has signed on as a sponsor of Alfresco DevCon 2018, January 16–18 in Lisbon, Portugal. This international conference is put on for developers and is dedicated to Alfresco technology.
Through the support of the Alfresco community, customers, and partners, DevCon is put on to increase technical know-how, connect Alfresco developers, and encourage collaboration with attendees. The three-day event will have more than 60 sessions. Prior to the start of the event, participants are invited to additional trainings including certification prep and a hackathon on January 15.
In addition to their sponsorship, Zia will have two representatives presenting during the event. Bindu Wavell, Chief Architect and Partner, will discuss Yo SDK 3 and demonstrate how to quickly and efficiently work on SDK 3 projects using the updated yeoman generator. Those using the SDK 2 generator will be provided with an overview of the work that has happened to support SDK 3 as well as new and ongoing collaborations. More information relating to this presentation can be found here.
Vijay Prince, Principal Consultant at Zia Consulting, will present on the Alfresco Bulk Export Tool. Zia performs numerous migration projects, including migrating between instances/versions of Alfresco. Fortunately, Alfresco has multiple options to import data into the system. One of the most frequently used tools for Bulk Import was created by Peter Monks. Prince will demonstrate the Bulk Import Tool and discuss the improvements he has contributed to the project over the past year. Additional details on the tool can be found here.
“Alfresco development conferences are an amazing opportunity for people who are responsible for delivering Alfresco solutions to learn about a wide array of topics,” said Wavell. “From beginner developer trainings to senior architect deep dives, there is something for everyone.”
